If it is CR-/IR-1, then you should be done by 2.5-3.0 months from assigning a case number until forwarding the case to the Embassy/Consulate.

Depends on country involved, time of year, present workload - a whole bunch of things. Also, then it depends on the embassy - how fast they do things once the case arrives. If you count on three months, you're probably going to be disappointed and then worried, etc. If you count on six months, you'll be happy when its over in 4-5. Check the timelines section for your country to get an idea what is actually going on with others immigrating from the country and good luck!!!!

The OP asked how long it takes to complete the process through NVC, not after the case is sent to the embassy.

The OP's question was about the time length of the CR-1 NVC process. Mine took 78 days. If one sends everything promptly and if one does not receive any RFE, then the NVC process should be done by 2.5-3.0 months before the case will be forwarded to the Embassy/Consulate.

I'm on track to be completed in 2-2.5 months.
