Just curious to see if anyone else from VJ are waiting for fingerprint clearance from CDJ? My fiance went for his interview on Aug 2 and his name had a false hit and fingerprints had to be taken. Next wed marks 8 weeks and nothing yet from CDJ. I called this past Friday and operator stated no change yet in our case. Just curious to see if anyone out there is in the same position as I am.

I found out fingerprints are processed internally at CDJ. His were taken digitally so it sucks that it is taking so long. Officer at interview said could be a 2 to 3 month delay. Operator on Friday said could be up to 6 months.

Let me know if you are in same boat - maybe it will make me feel better if I know I'm not the only one out there and not feel like my file is lost on someone's desk.

I really do hope that Leo's name gets cleared very soon, you guys deserve to be together soon. Now I'm starting to get worried, hopefully my fiance doesn't get a name hit in CDJ, he does have a pretty common name in Mexico (Juan).

Good luck, I hope you don't have to wait too long to bring Leo home with you to the U.S.

This has not happened to us, but I do know of someone personally who it did happen to. In this case, her name had a hit and was also taken fingerprints. Her fiance kept calling and it was cleared 2 months later. I don't know if that helps, but this happened just a few months ago and in CDJ. Good Luck!
