We are at the final stages of the K3 and have decided to follow through with it due to the fact we are finding it very hard being apart.
We have also done the starting stages of the CR1 (choice of agent bill etc) and have slowly been filling in the forms, just because I dont want to have to go through with the AOS once im there and then wait forever again.
My intention is to arrive in America on a K3, then return to the UK for the CR-1 interview so basically I am good to go.
Has anyone ever done this? I was wondering if there was ever any problems in returning for a CR1 interview when you already have a K3, and that if it really is worth it.
Im kinda stuck as to what to do, i think if i was planning to work asap then i would definatly want to do it. However my husband and I want to start our family very soon and so i proberly wont be working..............Im just trying to weigh out the options right now so would appreciate hearing from anyone who has done it.

I thought nowadays CR-1 is much faster than K-3. Check the timelines, but when I was doing it, there was no comparison...maybe for Brits it's different...anyway...good luck!

Yes, there are people who enter on K3 and go back for the CR-1 interview, and it's always a personal choice. If it's easy for you to fly back ... if you can afford it ... if it's safe while you're pregnant ...
If you want to enter on K3 and start a family, this may be the perfect time, since it's the only "job" you can do legally! If you decide to "get busy," AOS may be worth considering, since you wouldn't have to travel, and there'd be less of a rush to get a greencard anyway. Have you checked the wait time at your local USCIS office?
On the other hand, if working asap is the paramount concern, you could start submitting your Choice of Agent and other forms, with the intent of flying back. After getting the CR-1 visa, you might find a full-time job in the States with maternity leave.

Have a search for posts by euro who returned to the UK for the CR-1 visa interview after entering the US on the K-3 as she is one that I can recall off hand from the UK.

Echo the above, Euro did this, and it worked out very well for her. It might be worth while checking where your local office is and what the usual time frames are for AOS, if the time frame is an important factor.
I had thought of doing this too, but in the end went through AOS in SoCal which took approx 3 months.
Good luck with your decision.
Bear in mind that you don't have to decide any time soon either way
