We had the medical on Friday. It went ok, with the exception of the disclosure of his past STD of Chlamyidia. We thought they might be funny about it, so we got a certificate from the clinic he was treated at saying that he was cleared of the condition. We had to fight tooth and nail for it.

Well, that certificate is not good enough for the embassy, they want a letter stating how the diagnosis was made, what treatment he was given such as antibiotics taken, for how long, and the ultimate result. Then signed and stamped by the doctor. The medical physican does not think it will be an ultimate problem as long as we provide the proper documentation.

This is a problem because the clinic is refusing to give it to us. They said that they told us to lie on the medical history form (which they did) because there was no way anyone had access to the info, and it is our fault for telling them. We said we could not and would not lie. They said it is not thier job to write letters for people and that they are too busy. I have called them about 5 times and will be calling them again on Monday. I will be calling the hospital administrator too. I do not expect them to give it to me the same day, but I think they owe it to us to set a date and deliver it by then.

They jsut dont care wha kind of effect thier attitude and difficulty can have on someone elses whole life.

Any advise on the situation?

If I remember right....You have the right to your records.. Get your records.. Have another Doctor review them and write the letter...Everything that happened for the problem will be noted in the records..
You can even find another family Doctor...Have him request your records and then write the letter..

Now this is if they won't do it...in the first place.. but try the Administrator first..Maybe you were talking to a over worked under paid Nurse.....with an attitude..
