We were planning on having a baby, but maybe having a baby before the visa is done.

We have many concerns for starting it during this time in our process.

Only restrictions I am aware of is at the time of the medical and flight. X-rays will not be prerformed on pregnant ladies and they will have to do this once the baby is delivered. Secondly some airlines and doctors restrict the time of travel depending on how far along in the pregnancy the lady is at the time she would need to travel. Both of these are concerns for the health of the unborn child and mother.

Try and do a search on VJ to see if some members have been pregnant in the past at time of medicals. Good luck on the remainder of your journey.

My fiance was pregnant at one point during our Visa process, and I asked USCIS if that would change the process at all (she would not have delivered in her country).

The USCIS Rep told me it does not change the process at all, only if the child is born before the interview etc. Otherwise, everything else is the same.

I do agree with Mary however, there is some restrictions by some Airlines, and they will not do a X-Ray on her at the medical exam to the best of my knowledge.

As a male, the fact that the beneficiary is pregnant and this maybe does NOT affect the visa process concerns me a little. Of course in a perfect world, the gal would be preggers with the petitioners child, but I can see this NOT being the case also. I guess our government doesn't care who father of the child is. One question though, I thought the x-ray was a required part of the physical exam. If they won't perfom x-ray on a pregnant girl, then how can she pass the medical? Seems like a double-standard if they require for one and not the other.
