My lady has her interview Monday (9/25) at the embassy in Managua, Nicaragua. However, I was looking at some posts and it seems like I was supposed to have given her the NOA2 that I received. The packet that she got from the embassy made no mention of this and I hadn't really seen anything on the matter on here (or maybe I did but overlooked it). I DIDN'T GIVE HER THE ORIGINAL OR A COPY!!! How much of a negative effect is this going to have on her chances of getting the visa?

Ohhhhh man!!!! I would really hate for her to get rejected because of my STUPID overlooked mistake. If indeed she does need the NOA2 does anyone have any suggestions? It is too late to send it to her. Will a copy suffice? I guess I can scan it and email it to her and have her print it out.

AstroM33,

My Fiance has an interview on Tuesday, she does not have the (1-797) NOA-2 either. The Packet-3 information made no mention about it.

About a month ago, I specifically asked the Consular Officer about it, and the response was: "We have her approved petition forwarded by USCIS, via the NVC, thus, it is not required."

I am not sure why everyone suggests that you need this document.

My wife just went through the interview last week -- no mention of the NAO2 at the consulate. In the worst (unlikey) case, the visa will not be "rejected", but she will just have to get the copy of the NA02 from you and take it back to the embassy and will then be mailed/given the passport with the visa.

Don't panic -- it's all good...

Good luck,
KP

The NOA2 is not needed in Brasil, and if in her packet 3 and 4 they didnīt mention it, then itīs not needed.

NOA2 hard copy is not necessary for the interview - it IS necessary for AOS in the US. good luck!

We were asked to show our interview letter at the US embassy in London; I'm guessing this counts as a 'NOA.' I still don't know all of this arcane VJ lingo.

I can't remember if the letter specifically asked us to bring it to the interview, but we brought everything with us anyway so we wouldn't get caught out.
