Hello, we have been here for a while, but we are begining the journey in earnest! My name is Mike, and my SO is Yizhen. I live in Chicago, Zhen lives in Liuzhou, Guangxi. When we first met, Zhen used a translater and didn't want me to call on the phone. She hired an English tutor, and didn't tell me. When I finally asked her about an English tutor she said she had one. I asked if he could speak english, she didn't know for sure, so I asked to speak to him on the phone while we were on IM with the cam. He could not carry on a conversation with me in English, so we looked for a new tutor. I met a couple on CFL, they live in Florida and his wife who's been here a little more than a year is from Liuzhou. He had the same trouble, he interviewed tutors while there on a visit, he recommended their tutor. Turns out he lives very close to Zhen, we hired him. He knows that I think phonics and vocabulary are important to me, Zhen needs to communicate first. Hopefully by the time she gets here she will be ready for ESL and then TOEFL. this will be second marriage for both of us. We are getting married in Nanning October 30, 2006. then I will return home to file I-130 for K3. I am sure We will be asking many questions, as it has been pointed out that all the "I's" must be dotted, and all the "T'S" must be crossed. We hope that the journey will be smoother with your help, and a little diligence on our part.
Thanks, Mike & Zhen. PS I am sorry for thr novel.
