Hello,

My life has been a rollercoaster ride since May. Finally I see a light at the end of the tunnel...but I'd like some advice! Today I found out that the NVC has finally finished processing our paperwork (AOF and DS-203 part I) and will be sending them to the consulate in Rio. So what I'd like to know is:

1. How long does it take for the consulate to receive the paperwork?
2. Once they receive the paperwork, how long does it take for them to send you the package #3?
3. After getting the DS-2001, how long does it take for them to set the interview?
4. What happens on the interview? What do they ask?

I'd also like to know if anyone has lived in another country and had the police certificate for that country obtained by the consulate. I lived in the Netherlands.

Any input is welcome. And if you are from Brazil, even better!

Thanks!

To answer your first three questions:
You can find out more by using the timelines on VJ Select IR1/CR1 normal or advanced, then filter for Brazil.

Your forth can be answered here:

Thank you guys so much for the help!

I just finished editing my timeline. To be honest I haven't really kept track of the exact dates, but what I put there is about right. I hope it can help other people.
