Hi, I was wondering if the visa fee is still $65 to get a single entry into Vietnam? I wrote to the embassy a while ago but I just cant wait any longer for a response! So I thought it would be a much better idea to ask here and hear from some of the recent travelers. Thanks smile.gif

7) HOW TO PAY THE FEE?
PLEASE PREPARE TWO MONEY ORDERS PAYABLE TO "THE EMBASSY OF VIETNAM " AS FOLLOWS:

-SINGLE ENTRY, ONE-MONTH, REGULAR SERVICE:
- ONE MONEY ORDER OF $25.00 (MEMO LINE: VISA FEE).
- ONE MONEY ORDER OF $40.00 (MEMO LINE: REGULAR PROCESSING FEE).

-SINGLE ENTRY, ONE-MONTH, RUSH SERVICE:
- ONE MONEY ORDER OF $25.00 (MEMO LINE: VISA FEE).
- ONE MONEY ORDER OF $60.00 (MEMO LINE: RUSH PROCESSING FEE).

NOTE: ONE GROUP APPLYING TOGETHER CAN TURN IN TWO MONEY ORDERS (ONE FOR THE VISA FEE AND THE OTHER FOR THE PROCESSING FEE) FOR THE ENTIRE GROUP.

That was my Visa fee for trip in last June. Hope that help!

Where did you find this information? Last time the embassy wrote me and email and said $65 so I guess that was all summed up. Thanks

I went to Vietnam in April and July, each time I paid $45 for the visa fee at the San Francisco consulate. However, I heard that most travel agencies have been getting them for their ticketed customers at around $30. I never got a straight answer from the consulate.

I also noticed that $45 took one day to process. It appears to be considered "Rush".

Most vietnamese travel agency will include the Visa fees in their heavily discounted airfares.

I just booked my tickets to VN: $1,200 visa included.

(somewhere $20-$50)

cheers,

The ticketing agency that I went through charged me 80 $. But that was included in my fare which was 810 in May from Seattle to SGN return. So it was still a good deal ... I guess blush.gif

My first tourist visa to Vietnam was done through a travel agency in Chicago (can give contact info if you'd like) and it was added to the cost of the ticket for $30.
