Hello Everyone,

It's been a little over a month since I received notification from NVC that our K-3 case was forwarded to the Lagos Consulate Office. I've emailed them approximately three times within the month, and I have received the same general response that they send to everyone: Unfortunately, we have no records of this case in our system. Due to the large volume of applications, it may take some time before approved petitions are received and entered into the system. Applicants are contacted in the order the petitions are received.

Surely, they should have already received the case by now?? unsure.gif

So, I decided to call them on today. I actually spoke to someone, but she immediately transferred me to their automatic voice response.

Any advice as to what or how my husband can receive or pick up packets 3 and 4 from the Lagos office? helpsmilie.gif

I Believe you need to send the original notice of actions 1 and 2 as well as the official letter from NVC stating that the case has been forwarded to Lagos. He will take them to the inquiry line at the embassy, they will surely give him the packet 3 & 4 with interview date inclusive. Someone on this forum gave this process sometime ago. I wish you success.

I agree. Several K3ers here have been given their packet that way at Lagos. Not sure if their cases showed as being received by Lagos yet though.

Don't worry too much about them not having it in their system yet. It seems like they are extreemly slow this time of year.

Actually it doesnt have to be the original but a copy of the front and back of the approval and the email stating that it has been forwarded and you can email it to him or fax it.. my husband used that as well, he may have to make a few trips as well. I also made use of nigerian calling cards and called the embassy relentlessly from the time they opened til I got a response which will definately cut into my sleepy time. It was worth it for me though.

Yes, that is how my husband got his packet and appoitment date. And, yes, the e-mails I kept getting said that it had not arrived yet. They should have it for sure in a week from the time they sent it. I think that is about how long we waited before my husband went. But, have your hubby be prepared for a long wait (my husband waited about 6 hours or something in line).
