Can I get the Vaccinations I need at my NHS Doctors?

If I can, which ones do I need and can I then get them to print it out on headed paper to prove they have been done.

Would that be okay?

Yes.

My surgery put the details on a nice little Vaccination Card.

Which ones you need depends on your age, I had my missing one done after the medical and before I emmigrated.

I had my vaccinations done at my local GP's office after my medical. (Much cheaper)

The medical listed all the vaccinations that I needed, I then took the form with me to the Doc's and got the relevant vaccinations. Ask the nurse if they can give you a letter of all the vaccinations that you have had for proof.

I have had no problems, when I filed for AOS, I just sent the vaccination worksheet and a copy of my Doctors letter with all my other paperwork.

Good luck, hope that helped.

I'm 38. So which ones should I ask for?

I do seem to recall at some point about 3 -4 years ago somebody giving me a card with vacaccinations on. Tetanus most likely.

I have a Doctors appointment booked for next week so I could get them then if I need them.

There's a nifty little table for who-needs-what vaccinations somewhere, though damned if I can find it right now mad.gif The three that you'll need are: Td (Tetanus and Diptheria,) MMR and Varicella (Chickenpox.) However, I don't think the UK vaccinates against Varicella so I'm not sure that's a requirement if you're going through London? Someone else who's had a medical there will tell you I'm sure smile.gif

Yeah you dont need chickenpox, they did ask me if I had had it. I got a tetanus and MMR from my NHS GP before I went to the medical, saved me paying £35 each at the private medical clinic. They printed out my vacination record and the people at the medical were happy with that.

Does depend on how old you are..........Im 27 and had to have my tetanus and MMR again. Its no problem to get them done after the medical too, in fact the nurse i had at Knightsbridge almost suggested it so i saved myself the money.
