panicked
Hello, I am new here. I have been looking for some help about the form I-134 (affidavit for support)

On the sample form, Nothing is listed in question 7, about the value of bonds, life insurance, mortgages personal properties, etc. Is that information really required or not? My income is above $60K. I am well above the poverty level with no dependents (and never filled a petition for anyone before.) I bought my house last year so I do not have much equity and stuff and because of fixing the place up and stuff, my savings is low right now.

Question 10, I am assuming that they want me to list the same person i listed in question 3 as I did in question 10. To me it is rather redundant. Is that only if I have previously filled out a petition or co-sponsored another person? Which date do they want for the date submitted or received by the USCIS? The USCIS receipt date? To me it is rather silly of them for asking for that, since they have processed the petition.

Could some other tell me how they answered question 11, for the specific means of support? The sample form basically says that it is not applicable for K-1s. Where does that come from?

Thank you

With that type of income, you can skip the other assets, provided that you meet the poverty guidlines for your family size.

Q10: I believe this is for any others that may be a party to your petition, for example, your Fiance's child if applicable.

Q11: I put none.

Perhaps the sample sponsor did not have anything appropriate to list for question 7? Be careful with examples, your situation may be different from the situation the example is based on.

For you it may be redundant, for someone else it may not be redundant.

I answered 'Yes, will provide housing, clothing, food, and cover other expensese as may be necessary.' The 'not applicable' answer comes from a parenthetical note on previous versions of the form, a note that was removed when the current version was issued.
