Angela and Thomas
Hi guys! :)
I'm Angela, from Brazil ... I'm married to Thomas, who is American. We submitted our K-3 and got approved in August 22. And TODAY Tommy got a letter and we got approved for the I-130.
I don't know if I should be happy or what...
My husband is going to call the immigration tomorrow to check what we should do.
But I came here to ask for help and advices... What we should do? Go on with K-3? Or choose I-130? can we still apply for both? I know I-130 will take longer.... I'm lost.
Would you give me some help??? :help:
;) Thanks in advance ...
(F) Angela.

You can still follow through with both. You can use your K-3 and later return to Brazil for your interview for CR-1.

From what I understand, it is up to the consulate/embassy to cancel the K3 if they have an approved 1-130. There is no reason for you to cancel your K3. Whichever arrives at the consulate first will be processed first, unless the K3 and I130 arrive around the same time, and then the consulate will just cancel the K3.

This is what I think happens from what I've read, but I'm sure additional opinions will be more helpful.

First off congratulations on your approvals. Second I would recomend you keep processing both petitions. Dont cancel either one of them let them both keep on their journey and see which one processes faster to allow you and your husband to be together sooner. Best wishes to you both.
