Im not a religious person , but these words seem to fit........
grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time,
enjoying one moment at a time,
accepting hardship as the pathway to peace...............
Not the full prayer but definately the part that applies to what we're all experiencing. Hopefully we can remind ourselves how little control we have over this process, but in the areas we do, that we do our best.
We've been crossing the border for 37 months now and im tired. We're nearing the end of the road that has kept us apart and we're battle weary. We're certainly not as close as some, also not as far as others, but we're closer than we were 3 years ago. It's like the last hundred feet of a marathon ........u can see the finish line but you seem to be moving in slow motion getting there.............but we will get there and we'll be better having fought so hard to arrive.
My wish for you all is that you find some sort of peace in the process.

That's one of my all-time favorite prayers. It's very fitting.
Recite it often.

I wish I had a half way meeting point. We would have to get a boat and meet some place in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean~~ sigh. Isn't it great after you meet up with your husband you feel like your full of life again. Then you have to leave and its dooms day. Its so hard to say good bye and count the days untill the next meeting. Last time I met with my hubby I had not even left and I was already counting down days till our next meeting. I have a 12 hour flight back home and every time I just put a blanket on my face and quietly cry to my self thinking and planning of things to do for the next time we meet again.
