kicking.gif Direct Consular filing for us took one month before we were approved kicking.gif and on our way to the U.S. when we arrived our paperwork that I had filed here in the U.S. were here and they stated they needed more information. Thanks but no thanks. We found that it was also alot cheaper doing a direct consular filing just make sure you have all your paperwork. GOOD LUCK laughing.gif

biggrin.gif Glad to hear that DCF lives up to its reputation of being fast and stress free..unfortunately for many of us on here our embassies do not allow that and most of are not fortunate enough to be able to do a DCF....but great news for you and your loved one! Am glad that moved through the visa process virtually with lil or no stress and without any grief that we all have endured are fair share of on here! Wishing you both all the best as you adjust with your new life in America!!1 star_smile.gif

The vast majority of consulates do allow DCF....(off hand cant recall the one or two that don't)..whether one is eligible to file this way is dependent on the country, with most requiring that the USC is a resident of said country. In Australia eg there is no residency requirements for the USC. Many people unfortunately tend to overlook the DCF process without understanding or looking into their specific cconsulate requirements.

Thank the gods! I was just wondering what had happened to you...
Hope the children are in better health now and happy to have moms home. smile.gif

Note: your wife did not get a K-3 visa, she got an immigrant visa and if she is in the US, she is now a Permanent Resident. Her Green Card should be mailed to her within the month.

best wishes!

L'elle, it's Dominican Republic right now that won't accept any DCF, even from residents. I've been told this is contrary to law (when Canada refused it) but who ya gonna call? I think they are having 'issues' in the DR at the moment.. smile.gif
