Hi All,

I have my medical scheduled in Saskatchewan, Canada next week and I am wondering if the doctor will ask if I have any family history of mental health problems? Although none of my immediate family has any problems (myself included), one of my grandparents had schizophrenia. Is this going to be an issue for the doctor? I wouldn't think that this would have any bearing on my own medical results considering that I don't have any problems myself, am I correct to assume this? If they ask, I will be truthful, but hopefully it won't cause him to deny me capable of getting this visa, right?

Just paranoid as per usual and need some reassurance. blink.gif

Be honest during the medical.

You are not touched by the condition and as long as you are not a harm to yourself or others, you should be fine.

There are some others on here who are more experienced in dealing with mental health issues. I believe tigretigre is also dealing with one as well.

Good luck
