Wealth: the only thing that can make some of those other things come true.

An end to poverty and world suffering

I don't think wishing would bring world peace nor end poverty and suffering for more than a few minutes ... whereas if I got money, it could be strategically applied in an effort to bring about those other things on a more lasting basis.

The marriage is going just fine on its own, thanks.
