Just noticed that some have been BACK quite soon after the ceremony... I can't imagine that I'd want to spend that much time diverted from my 'new life' after having been apart for so long, but perhaps I'm missing something???
Anyone???

About a week or 2 after the wedding I was on showing pictures. Then I still posted but a whole lot less than before Sujeet arrived. But then life goes back to a pattern, he got a job eventually, which left me with time to kill. (I was working only part time back then). Now I have even more time to kill while he is working, and I am not working. When he 1st arrived I was hardly on here. I was pretty sure that my VJ life would mostly end after he came(except for AOS questions, etc). Wow was I wrong.

I've noticed that too
I only come on the PC when Dave's at work, sleeping and I have nothing better to do.

With that NEW life come NEW problems. JV is a great sounding board for culture shock, driving lessons, food, etc. It is also a good way to let some steam off when you are tired of explaining how the dishwasher works for the 20th time. :-)

2 days (2006/04/17) after the ceremony. I did not take a laptop to MI (though I could post the day before at public library) and could not access web from 4/15 to 4/16.

JenT,
One thing that you're missing is that not every VJer is K1. (With acknowledgement to Frances for pointing it out first.)

We had a courthouse ceremony. Then we went to the civil surgeon. Not the most romantic day. I posted later that day on VJ, I'm sure.

Wow, I have no idea. Probably about three days? We were married on a Friday afternoon, then went away (not far away, just away from our roommates!) for three days, so I probably posted Monday or Tuesday. Both of us were working full time (and then some) and had a hard time getting off for the wedding day, let alone a honeymoon, and we didn't move in together until nearly a month later (we were living in the same town, he was here on a work visa, so our situation is rather different from most people's).

We sit here in this office, a true pair of geeks, each on our PC's. I'm on VJ and he's looking at torrents or playing with Linux.
I want a machine like his!! He's got an Athlon processor.....waaaaaah!

Yes, of course you are right... so that will skew the poll %... I'm always more interested in the comments than in the %'s anyway!
The people who post here just fascinate me..... the dynamics behind every keyboard are SO different, and yet here we all are, converging on a mutual topic....
I was always interested in sociology, but not enough to be serious about it....

We posted a couple times the day after because we still had family here with us and couldn't leave on our honeymoon until they had left to go home.
Joel and I sit together in the same room on our pc's...chatting in VJ chat, or reading forums together. This is one way we spend time together.

We had a long day, even with a smallish wedding (about 75), but we didn't feel like going out after..must have gotten home about 10 or 11. Mom/Dad kept the kiddo for a few days, but Craig's parents were still here in town, and we weren't going anywhere anyway, so I posted when we got back home. We stayed in our wedding clothes for probably about an hour looking at our cards, etc. So....I made just one post in my wedding dress before coming off the computer for the night!

I pretty much waited until after the DIVORCE was final before I started posting here again... which was about two years from the time we were married... LOL
Does that count??
heh
