Once my fiancee enters the US on his K1 Visa and we marry he then has to apply for a green card correct? How long is this process? Can he travel back to the UK once we are married or is his passport removed while he applies for the green card?

If your husband wants to travel outside the U.S. before his GC is approved, he must apply for AP (Advance Parole, Form I-131). That is almost always approved before the GC and takes anywhere from 6 weeks to 3 months to approve).

You can apply for AP along with the AOS application, but you can't apply for AP before the AOS.

Good luck.
