I just got approved by USCIS. I am trying to understand the process from this point forward. I see the NVC flow chart, but it says for CR1/IR1. Is it the same for K1 visas?

Mine will be a K1. Can someone kindly give me an idea of how to learn what to do and what to expect until my fiancee gets her packets from Embassy in Manila?

Thanks so much.

At this point the package get sent to NVC were it gets processed (1-4 weeks) then it gets sent to Consulate.

I would gather the documents and prepare the affidavit of support at this time I-134.

More info can be found here: http://usembassy.state.gov/manila/wwwh3204.html

To get a good estimate about how long look at the timelines advance view and filter for Manila and look at the time from NOA2 to Interview.

Congrats on the approval good.gif

The CR-1 Flowchart is only for those doing CR-1. It is a lot longer process then for the K visas.

For those doing a K visa the process at NVC only involves a fairly short pitstop to be asigned a case number, undergo background/security checks and then forwarded to the consulate. The time this take varies and just as with the USCIS service center stage, one can be held up with security checks.

There is a NVC chart for K-1 in the guides section.

All the best to you on your journey.
