First of all congratulations to all that got their approvals today!! So happy for all of you and wish you all the best in the future. May the rest of your journey fly by so very fast so you can be reunited with your significant others.
Has anyone here(either yourself of Fiancee) interviewed in UAE before? My Fiancee and I are wondering if there is anyplace we could find a format or guideline so she will somewhat know what to expect. Just figured I would take a shot in the dark and see if anyone has been through it or knows anyone that has gone through it. Thanks as always.

Hi! I considered having my interview in UAE. I tried emailing the US Embassy / Consulate there regarding the documents that they will require so that i can prepare them in advance. I waited more than a month for their reply but i never got any. Waiting and worrying at the same time. LOL
I hope you find someone who can be more helpful. Goodluck guys!

If and when our K-1 finds its way out of the black hole that is CSC, she will go through the UAE embassy. I emailed them once, and got a very rapid response. But unfortunately I can't give you insight about how the interview process works there yet.
Depending on which of our fiance's goes first, I will be glad to let you know ASAP when J get's her interview done.
I believe we are fortunate neither of our fiance's will be going through Manila. Not because they are difficult with regards to interviewing, but merely the extensive wait time to even get one done!

You sent yours in a month before me so in all likelihood yours will be first. I listed the Consulate in Dubai on my I-129F as my Fiancees local consulate/embassy. She could go to Abu Dhabi of course if it came to that but the Dubai consulate is much closer to her. You and I are going to be similar in timing I think so we will definetely remain in touch. Thanks as always.

First of all, congratulations on your approval!
Good luck at the interview, and yes, please keep matt and I informed!

Noone seems to have done a review of the interview in UAE, and there does not seem to be a sample timeline from the embassy getting the packet to how long they take to set an interview date. So please keep up your timeline and fill us in on how things go...
Again, good luck!

I've read all the posts....and m quite interested because m currently working here in Saudi. We addressed it in the Philippines (in the forms we sent to CSC) since I am just 7 months working here. I don't know if they will allow us to have the interview here in Riyadh... Does anybody have similar case like mine? M thinking how to get the police certificates here....really have no idea....this country is not as open as Dubai...

Interesting. Oh well Abu Dhabi is not that far from Dubai. If it comes to that it should not be a big deal. Be sure to keep us posted when you have your interview. Sadly it is still a long ways away for us but the more knowledge I can share with her about the interview the better off we will be. Thanks again.

Hope you get an interview date soon.
Ready4One & Matt5121, i have a feeling will definitely be a shorter wait there in UAE compared to the wait in the Phils.
One of my colleagues in UAE made an appointement for a tourist visa and she was interviewed after two weeks! Here in the Phils, the waiting time for that is four-six months.
Maybe i should have waited it out there in UAE.

I certainly hope it goes fast. I know it is down the road still as my I-129F was just mailed a few days ago. Just have to hope that we get lucky I guess. Thanks for the info.

Greetings!
There was a Vj member before who was interviewed in UAE, ( fiance visa).
If i am not mistaken, only the immigrant like I-130 beneficiary must go back to the country where she or he was born for interview.
I also would like you to call US Embssy, UAE just to make sure.
TIP: do not forget to apply for a current police clearance.
p.s. with regards to Riyadh US Embassy might as well give them a call to make sure.
How i missed the City Of GOld, been there for 6 years.

Greetings!
Thats okay for you to go back to the Philippines from Riyadh that way youll have time to be with your family before migrating to the States.
After all ,renewing NBI is much easier in the Philippines. ( compared in Riyadh) too much hassles.

Griffin, I am more than 6 mos. here, the embassy might look for my police certificate from Riyadh since I did not stay in PI for more than 6 mos (it's one of the requirements in the interview package right?). Nyways, m going to call US embassy Riyadh how to acquire this police certificate. Thanks....

Greetings!
YES, Do not go home to the Philippines without your Police Certificate from Riyadh.
p.s. Trust me i got all the hassle of getting one from Dubai, why? because i requested the certificate from the Philippines. So imagine the waiting not to mention going from one office in manila for authentication before sending it to Dubai.
