I do not see anyone here posting from canada or mexico. I always wonder if those couples are lucky enough to be able to visit constantly or if there is restrictions because of K1 visa app.

hubby and I lived about 1000 to 1500 miles apart, me/ BC, Canada, him/ California, USA...
We saw each other about every two months and the longest we were apart was 6 months.... hubby would usually only come for a visit on the weekends because of his job and he wiped out his pay cheque paying for the plane ticket.. He would come on SAturday afternoon usually and leave very early Monday morning..... We had less the 2 days together... we were luckier then most because we got to see each other pretty reguarly but I just wish it could have been for longer periods of time.... I think the longest time we spent together before I moved here was about 10 days and that was right after the wedding, he had a week off....
sometimes they asked him a lot of questions, other times they just let him through, he had a lot of border crossing experience too because he used to have to go to Mexico a lot....

Well....we were supposed to see each other last May, but decided against it seeing as we were gonna do the K-1 process. And we didn't think it would take this long. But I didn't get his papers until August and it has been road blocks along the way. Also, we're getting married June 10th, so all money I earn is going toward that. Yeah....had I known it would be this long, I either wouldn't have left, or visited him when we planned to anyway.

Roughly over 2500 miles apart...still waiting to be married. We get to physically see each other maybe two to four times a year. Been doing this since 2004. Sigh...I'm ready to be done with this immigration stuff and all those airport goodbyes.

Pras is still in India; she'll enter US at Detroit on 4/4.
I will at least be able to see her (to choose decorations/flowers, apply for MI Oakland County marriage licence) on 4/13, and we'll be married 4/15.
I had hoped to proceed to the Easter Retreat (starting 4/14 7:00 pm) with her as registered couple, but this has the consolation of combined ceremony.
