Has anyone gotten an interview at the embassy in amman recently? I am very frustrated as our case left NVC for Amman Jordan on 8/15/06. I emailed the embassy for an approximate date on when we could expect interview for my husband and they said they are working on July 2007. My heart sank. The I-129 expires December 2006 (what does this mean). Please help with whatever info you can give re how long it might be before he actually gets an interview.

Is it likely that he might be home by December?

Thanks,

I Rahaymeh

Hi, I have been trying to find anyone with expierence in Amman. my wife's case has not been sent by NVC as of yet, but I read on the Embassy Info page that it takes 3 months after they get the file. Please keep posting if you learn more.

Welcome to VisaJourney. I hope you move quickly thru Amman. But since they have been taking care of Iraq's petitons, they have slowed down to a crawl. Sometimes they move interviews up, but JP is waiting many months for an interview. Maybe she can shed some light on how Amman is sceduling now.

Hi Jackie,
Thanks for responding and for your support. What is an AR? all of this is new to me. i'm still trying to figure out how to move around in the VJ website. When it says "on", does this mean i can participate in live conversations? And, how do I contact JP? Again, thanks for your help.

Irene,

you are also waiting on an interview from Embassy in Jordan? Where are you in the process?

AR: is adminstrative review, this is when they put your file on hold for additional reviews, e.g. security checks, need more clarification etc

I am still waiting on who is JP?

Hi Irahaymeh and Zzerous, welcome
You can find JP (JordanianPrincess) and more of us in the middle east/north africa forum regularly. There are a few of us with experience processing through Amman in there. My husband's interview was there last March so I don't have much first hand to say about current processing times, except that there have been 3 other members in more recent times that got interview dates originally scheduled for 8/23/06, 1/25/07, and 2/27/07 all get moved up to 7/26/06, 8/16/06 and 10/19/06 respectively. December seems a little optimistic...but who knows. Just don't get too discouraged when you do get a date and its really far off in the future.
Come say Hi in the ME/NA room. Its usually a friendly place

Thanks, but how do I access the ME/NA room. All of this is new to me and I dont know how to move around in this site. Any help you can give would be appreciated. My computer skills are extremely limited.
Thanks. Irene Rahaymeh sad.gif

Thanks everyone for your replies. It is promising to hear that some interview dates that were previously scheduled in Amman were moved up. We haven't gotten any interview date as yet but are still praying and optimistic that it will be soon. Please explain to me how to move around in this site and how to get to the ME/NA room??

Thanks again for all your help. I feel somewhat better now and a little more enlightened.

IRahaymeh I feel your pain. I too am waiting for my fiancee to get packet #3
so she can get an interview date. My petition was received by the consulate about the same date as yours.
I guess we just have to be patient.
GOOD LUCK TO BOTH OF YOU yes.gif good.gif yes.gif

Hi Irahaymeh to get to the ME/NA ROOM when you open the forum select THE FOREIGN EMBASSY AND CONSULATE GENERAL DISCUSSION from the VJ menue on the left. This will take you to the main page.

You will then scroll to the bottom of the page. In the bottom right hand corner there are a few pull down menues there. Select the top one (This is the largest one) that has THE FOREIGN EMBASSY AND CONSULATE GENERAL DISCUSSION listed as the topic.

Just click on the down arrow. This will give you a menue. Scroll down the list and select
MIDDLE EAST AND NORTH AFRICA this will take you to the ME/NA Room.

I HOPE THIS HELPS AND GOOD LUCK!!! good.gif yes.gif good.gif
