entid=2176] (Packet 3)
I know that Zaeem and I are not the only ones going through this Consulate now, so I thought I would post some information regarding this Consulate. I have found that they are very efficient, they do everything electronically, I don't believe they send packet three or four via mail, it is all sent via email. That is how they have done it with us anyway. We have now already requested our interview via internet, it will be posted within 2 weeks, and the Consulate stated that upon request of the interview, the interview will be held within 4 weeks. Attached are the forms from Packet three. Once you receive your NOA2, and it is forwarded to NVC and you receive your NCV case #, the medical can be scheduled. You don't have to wait for packet three, or even for it to get to the Consulate. Once it has left NVC, be sure and email the Korea Consulate asking them if they have received your case or not, and they will reply right away and attach packet three. The only form that has to be sent back from packet three is form DS - 230, you can either mail it back or fax it. We chose to fax it, it is just faster. I emailed them the next day to find out if they rec'd our fax and they emailed me back right away to let me know they did. They have been very helpful thus far. Once you have gathered all required documents, that is when you request interview via the internet. They will send you an email with your interview date, and this is considered packet 4. They will also post your interview on the website. Once the interview is requested, the USC should make sure all of the documents that are required of he/she are ready to be sent to the Beneficiary. I am sending mine next week.
