CR1Vietnam
Hi all, I am a new member. I am currently preparing to file a CR-1 VISA for my wife in Vietnam who is a non US Citizen. She is of course a Vietnamese National. Does anyone have any thoughts about using an immigration lawyer or otherwise a legal assistant from the YWCA Multi-cultural center for assistance? Many people I know never used any help other than the INS/CIS hotline in executing their K-1/K-3/CR-1 VISAs, but others I know have used them with success.
In the past, my spouse and I filed for a K-1 VISA and later terminated the case after she was told to bring more evidence following her interview. We also got married later so that would have automatically terminated the case anyways.
Can anyone explain the term MOB as is used in this forum? thanks!
Regards,
Brad

Welcome to the VJ family. If you read the forums and ask questions, you will most likely not need a lawyer. I do not know what does the term MOB mean.

Brad,

I would at least have a consultation with an immigtation attorney - one who has experience with the consulate in Vietnam.

You don't say anything about what kind of additional information was requested of your wife when she applied for a K1 visa ......
