Couldn't you get a visa at the airport in Algeria? I sent out my passport the first time I went to Egypt not knowing I could just get a visa at the airport.

I've seen it as an option in Tunisia (but US passport holders don't need a visa there)...

Not in Algiers, that may be like... easy and fast...

to get an algerian visa, it takes about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks from start to finish (assuming they don't mess things up)

Well basically I havnt gotten the visa back yet... but so far it has been about 2 weeks...so it will be about 2,5 weeks for the whole process...mailing the app, processing and return.
