TWINRIX is not recommended for use on anyone under 18 years old.
From the prescribers information:
"TWINRIX is indicated for active immunization of persons 18 years of age or older against disease caused by hepatitis A virus and infection by all known subtypes of hepatitis B virus. " and "Safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients below the age of 18 years have not been established."
http://us.gsk.com/products/assets/us_twinrix.pdfENGERIX-B has a Pediatric/Adolescent immunization whichcontains 0.5-mL dose instead of the adult 1mL dose. Both these are available in the US. They are made by gsk.
Buttons I am surprised your Dr would give TWINRIX to a five year old

It is the pedatric dose. Consulted with my pharmacist who is a good friend for many years and he did research on it and the pedeatric dose is a safe as it gets.
