hello everyone! I filed my I-751 with waiver (divorced) 6 months after my card's expiration (since my divorced was finalized 6 months after).I got last week my I-797c extension and just this morning my biometric appointment for my scheduled fingerprints, photo and signature at our local ASC.Is this normal though approval(perhaps) is not yet on hand? What do I have to expect after? Anybody who's in the same boat?

Its pretty clear what the OP is dealing with and his/her status. it just looks like you're confused between the I-130 or AOS process and the removal of condtions(I-751).

anyways it looks like things are going good with you mooninlove, if im not mistaken. im also heading for a single filling of I-751 appreciate if you can share more details on what kinda evidence you submitted.

The Biometric appointment I received yesterday is scheduled by next week at our local ASC.I just need to bring my I-551, passport etc..I'm just confused that i'm scheduled for this and yet not sure either if i'm approved or is it on the stage of being approved.I filed my I-751 waiver July, NOA received on the 25th August & Biometric Notice this 29th of August. Here are the evidences that I've submitted:
Divorce decree
Joint Savings Account
Lease of the house
Life Insurance beneficiary
Joint income taxes
letters/cards
photos
affidavits from my mother-in-law, ex-husband & friends

Does anybody here who are scheduled for Biometric yet have not received approval yet? just wanna make sure i'm heading to the right direction now.. yes.gif fingers crossed.

This does seem to be one new way cases are going. There are several threads at this group that I suggest I-751ers take a look at:

well that's great if indeed i'm in the right direction good.gif .the fact that my card expired several months before i was granted my final judgment & was able to file my I-751 after that is a BIG sigh of relief kicking.gif .i still have to wait for the approval notice though for confirmation.it's just so odd i have this and approval not in sight...from my I-797c to my biometric notice is just FOUR DAYS..from filing of my I-751 (july28)-biometric is a MONTH and a day.by the way, i have my attorney to thank for...i just need to bring all the things they told me to bring next wednesday for my biometric.i'll keep you posted.goodluck to ALL of us!!!

Hi
The same thing happened to me. I actually have to go to biometrics this week.....
I don't think it has anything to do with approval......I think it is a new procedure they are doing...
I have a question for you...did you file a lot of evidence with your I751?

Thanks
Sanaz

Hi mooninlove
My case is similar like yours.
We filed divorce on July 2007(this will take at least 6 month to be finalized), and we filed a joint I751 in Sep (90 days prior to my card expiration).
I wll have my biometric appointment on 11/04/2007.
I assume that my divorce will be done by next Jan 2008, at that time is it correct that I will need to file a new I751 with a waiver separately?
I also want to know do i need to redo my biometric one more time? because apparently, at that time, i already got my biometric done on 11/04/2007 (this comes with a joint I751 we filed on July 2007). And also, do I need to pay for the fee one more time?
Does it mean that when you refile your I751 separately after divorce, everything will start all over again, including fee, biometric, etc.?

I'm in LA. So i guess that will be CSC taking care of my case.
Please help me with these questions. I appreciate that alot
Thanks
Regards
Anh Nguyen
