How do you track your petitions once approved and sent to the NVC. Do they update the USCIS online tracking any longer or do you have to call somone?

Thanks,
Chris and Mariana

Or e-mail them. But calling is better. Give them your NOA1 date. Talk to a live operator. Best time to call is either early in the morning or late at night.

I was asked for the beneficiary's birthdate and INS receipt number. The operator gave me the NVC case number.

Yes, they ask for the beneficiary's name and birth date, as well as the petitioner's phone number.

After you get your case number start looking at the Embassy's website where your interview will be held and look at the appointment schedule. Thats how I found out that they recieved my documents and made our appointment date.

Good luck dude

I discovered that this only true when they actually have the case. For the last 12 days, I gave the USCIS number only. Response: sorry no record.

Today, they asked the beneficiary info. They have the case.

Congratulations, William33!

After you reunite, will you please tell us, if you know, why you are getting such special (slow) treatment?? You've commented in past on the importance of maintaining your anonimity -- and I wonder if sometimes I'm a bit too identifiable ....
