Hi. I'm so frustrated. My I-129F was approved on July 25 and I recieved my NOA2 a couple days later. It's been a month and 5 days now and they (NVC) have not receive my records. I've been calling every week and they would tell me to wait 2 to 4 weeks. Now since it's past a month, they tell me that I should give them up to 90 days. What's going on? I tried calling CIS and a woman says that all I-129F are sent directly to the embassy. I'm been trolling on the boards for quite awhile and never saw this happening. But I gave it a shot and called GUZ. Only to my disappointment that they couldnt help me since I dont have a GUZ#. Now I called CIS again and spoke an immigration officer. He dispatched an email to CSC and try to figure out what's going on with my application and told me I should wait another 30 days. So far, I called NVC a dozen times, CIS half of that, and GUZ once. What can I do now? Just wait 90 days??!? I've been waiting since early March. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I think it is true that Service Center has up to 90 days from approval date to send to NVC (well, that was the answer given to us at the time). Ours was I-130 application in late 2004 and NVC received the document from CSC approx. 1.5 months after approval date. I do not know what happened at CSC, but it does happen. Back in those days, CSC was still answering question regarding petition sent through email. That's how we found out about additional hold up.

Good luck....hope they forwardyour petition soon !

Hey Derek,
It seems something is going on across the Board changes in routines etc I hear tey are Hiring new directors for all uscis Centers from postings here on this site, so something is up, and mostly a slowdown in any progress, Sorry to hear of Your ordeal Ours is getting approved bewtween IMBRA Becoming law, and IMBRA being put into effect, so instead of getting held at USCIS we got approved and sent to Guangzhou then, wait on this one, 3 Months for them to acknowledge receipt of our petition and then to get sent back to ???? Still trying since 7/20/06 to Find where it was sent. Guangzhou is just as bad, I was told 3 different dates in regard to our case and again no one knows what in Gods name is going on.
So We are back to ground zero as far as our petition goes, Hope You get Yours Located.
Try a Normal Snail mail letter, this is my latest attemp to reach a person that has a mind !

Good Luck wacko.gif

Hey Derek,

I just was talking with someone from VJ also and he said that it took his paperwork to make it to the nvc well over a month. Always remember patience is a virtue.

Good luck dude

You are not alone. It has been 4 months since I have been approved and I am still waiting for my petition to be sent to the NVC. It is so frustrating feeling so helpless. I have been trying to explain to my honey what is happening but she doesn't understand and starting to have thoughts of maybe ending the relationship. People around her are giving here ideas that I don't want to marry her because of this unending wait. She quit her job because she thought she was getting her visa soon. It took almost 3 months for approval. I have been trying supporting her financially but the stress has been getting to her. I am trying to be supportive but things seem to be going downhill...

Guys patience is really needed in visa process..NVC confirmed us and provide us our case number almost a month..Honestly, we feel the same with you guys..we are so frustrated because we are ahead of others how come NVC already had their papers and our NVC dont have it yet..But we are positive that we have it everyday..and we had it today..thanks to GOD..

So just pray and be patient..You will hear good news from NVC very soon.

i had problems with the damn NVC too. one dumb operator also told me that fiancee petitions go straight from the CSC or district center to Guangzhou, which is true in no case. it took over 3 months for my package to get sent from CSC to NVC. the operators are really no help at all, and even many weeks after my packet got approved and sent to Guangzhou, their online computer was still saying they hadn't received my file. heh. i got my local senator's office involved and i recommend you do the same. if you call your local congressman/senator's office and tell them the situation, they can send you a form to fill out. they'll get on the case of the NVC. well, they said they would. i did eventually get a letter from the NVC saying they received it and approved it.

i really feel for everyone that has to wait because i know how you feel. my fiancee did not quit her job, but i told her not to bother to look for one because she will come to america soon. that was over a year ago and she's not here yet. i hope it works out for you. tell your fiancee not to lose hope. the waiting will make the final reunion so much better, won't it?

Ugh.... this thread scares me even more.... ohmy.gif crying.gif

I am also very scared it is happening to my case as well. NVC still don't have my case and people who got approved after me already have a case number and a interview date. NVC sent me an email to contact CSC, but don't know what to do ... My fiance quit her job in Aug and waiting for this process to go quickly...I just hate this immigration process. One after another... Can't wait until this is all over.

Ours took 91 days for NVC to receive from CSC.
(Never were we given any explanation given for the delay.)

After the 30 day mark, one or the other of us would call NVC every day (from Monday to Friday), to inquire.

Patience is a virtue, and my patience is boundless.
However, in a long-distance relationship, waiting through needless delays can be a relationship killer.
So while sometimes we can only wait, we don't have to wait passively. Do whatever you can to speed things up, if ever your delay becomes unreasonably long.
MrMrsKnight
OMG this scares me more than waiting for the NOA2... probably because there's NO reason for them to wait 90 days to forward the case!!!
I just have to remain calm and hope this doesn't happen to us! But that is hard to do when I read this kind of thread blink.gif I keep checking the timelines and waiting that long is not so common.... I'm just afraid it might become common in the next few months though.
I'll keep praying!

Very odd...it clearly states on the NOA2 that the said case has already been forwarded. Not sure why it would take three months. For many people, their cases were rec'd and sent out in less than a week.
Derek & Yun
I say luck. For most of us, it takes a couple weeks. Where for me, NVC still does not have my case yet. I've contacted my 2 senators but they haven't called me back. One of them said to wait 2 to 4 weeks for someone to work on my case. Hehe. I feel they are also like the NVC/CIS. crying.gif
MrMrsKnight
Do you think it has anything to do with the country the beneficiary is from???
hahuhobrad
Sorry you are all being delayed. hang in their.

My I-130 has been at NVC since Aug 31st. The case number was assigned but now I'm waiting for the AOS fee bill to be generated. We all wait for something.

Peace.

I was approved August 18. I got a notice in the mail that They received my packet on Sept. 5 and it would be mailed out within a week. I just called an operator who said they received my packet August 31 and as of September 18 it has not been sent out yet. It sounds like a slow down for everyone which is comforting in a bad way, in that none of our packets are lost.

I wouldn't be surprised, I read somewhere that the Consulate in the beneficiary's country gives the NVC permission to hand out a new case number when they are ready to receive new petitions. I'm not sure if this info is correct, but it would explain why some people have had to wait a lot longer than others.

Our case received a case number the day it arrived at NVC, and was sent out 2 working days later, which seemed the norm for Australian petitions.

Good luck, I hope you receive news of your case soon smile.gif
heathius
Derek & Yun are right. It is mostly luck. Our case took two weeks to get to NVC, and we were approved nearly a month after them. We are also going through the Guangzhou consulate.

People from all different countries have reported varied times from SC to NVC, so I don't think that it has anything to do with country. We can only speculate what is causing the delay. But since there is no official reason, us filers have to chalk it up as luck.
GaryC
I just did a little timeline search. It seems that only one NOA2 in Sept has gotten to the NVC from the CSC. For some reason all of them are getting held up.

I don't think so. I know one petitioner whose fiance is from Korea got approved a day later than mine got packet 3. What frustrates me is that I don't even know whether my petition is still held up in CSC or in NVC.
Ana and Dan
NOA2 approved at the end of August. Our petition came and left the NVC in just under three weeks. It's on it's way down to Rio as I type this. good.gif

Make sure you talk to a live operator as the automated system doesn't work for K1 visas...
Derek & Yun
This really suck. Its been 30 days since the visa officer I spoke to sent an inquiry to CSC concerning the status of our case. I called CIS today and got transfered to another visa officer and she says I should wait 30-60 days for CSC to reply to my inquiry. So it's now 2 months since my petition was approved (July 25). So getting to the point, no one can help me now. She says to wait. I also called NVC today and the representative I talked to says to wait till October 25 and if NVC has not receive our petition I should call them back to help me. I asked her after 90-days what will they do to help me? Guess what was her reply? She told me she can not disclose that with me until the 90 day has passed. OMFG! I also contacted the two senators in my state and they also tell me to wait until they get to my case which will be 2-4 weeks. F*CK! This is so ridiculous and absurd.
hockeygal
That is completely ridiculous. For no one to be able to tell you why your case is stillstuck at CSC twom months after approval! That is crazy. I'm so sorry... it must be hugely frustrating. sad.gif
Derek & Yun
Sigh.. It's 90 days now and it's still not at NVC. I just got a letter from my senator yesterday which enclosed a copy of the response from NVC. Anyhow, they said that they still dont have it and it "may be" lost in the mail. I mean come on, I have to wait 90 days just to know that it's lost? Geez. CSC and NVC Thank you!

Well, today I express mail a letter to the USCIS Ombudsmen to complain and ask them to help me resolve my predicament. I also faxed NVC a copy of my NOA2. I'll just wait and see what happens. Should I resubmit my I-129F application? Can someone who is/was in the same boat as I am give me some advice? Thanks in advance.
