Can anybody tell me how long it takes going through L.A. as POE accordingly to
your personal experience?

Took me about 45 min total, 30 min lining up and 15 min in front of POE officer.

It was a long time ago but I seem to remember I was through about an hour and a half after I got off the plane - walking to the customs place takes quite a long time and you can't really go faster than everyone else because it's a cattle crush! Then it was about an hour in the queue (I was at the back of the line because I didn't hurry to get off the plane) and ten minutes at the desk. I didn't have to go to a different room or anything - I'm sure that adds time if you do.

Easy!

Took 45 minutes in total including getting off the plane, through customs and bag inspection (as I had wedding cake so had to declare food items!) Arrived on a early afternoon - 2:30pm - flight from UK.

They know what they're doing, are very professional and no real holds-ups whatsoever - and no secondary inspection either.

So a 3.5 hour layover coming in from Manila to wait for a plane to Philly is a safe bet?

Nothing's a safe bet these days with security scares etc, but on a good day all things being equal you have a good shot.
