Is there any way of tracking our I-129F after it is mailed from the NVC to the Embassy? My fiance has already sent back his Packet 3, and now I'm just wondering if there is any way to see what is happening with it? Can we email the Embassy to see if they have received the Packet back? What is everyone else doing?

Sure you can email them anytime you want.

I was wondering the same. He didn't send it registered post, so should I email & ask them to let me know when they receive it?

I emailed them & asked them to let me know when they received it from NVC & they never replied...

David has just repeatedly phoned and spoken to the same nice woman (Frankfurt).... she seems to enjoy his sense of humor. Sure hope she's the one doing the interviewing too!!

When you email the embassy put your case number in the subject line. In the embassy's reply to me they said they keep no record of the correspondence so you will have to write again if you want the same question answered later. I emailed them asking if they received our packet 3 and they sent me this response:

We have no record of having received the forms to which you refer. However there is a delay of 6 - 8 weeks between the date the forms are received by the Embassy and the date in which they are processed and entered on to our system. As soon as the Immigrant Visa Unit has received the forms and completed any additional processing on your application you can anticipate receiving an appointment date for an interview within approximately 4 weeks.

Thank you for your e-mail correspondence.

This informal method of responding enables us to respond to you within a shorter time. No record is being made of this correspondence. If you need to e-mail us again, please return this e-mail.

standard reply there lisanne - they said that even tho I *knew* they mus thave had it by the time I asked..then they sent me that reply as well and 2 days later I got packet 3 huh.gif Once I sent THAT back, and knew they had signed for it - to be honest once I knew they'd done that I didn't try and track it - it just does your head in.
Wait time at London from reciept of packet 3 to interview is between 3 - 12 weeks; nearer 12 in holiday season depending on workload.
Mine actually didn't take that long but August is their busiest month for staff leave.
My advice is, if you know they have it then just try n grit your teeth and play the waiting game - if you are LUCKY they'll send a 'yeah we have it' response but its more likely to be one that makes you stressed out and crazy.
Good luck!!
