I read on the EAD form that K1 applicants can submit the EAD request form any time in the 90 days after entry to the USA. Does this mean I can file these forms BEFORE the wedding?

Also has anyone tried submitting the AP form on line?

AOS cannot be filed for before you are married. From a K-1 You need to provide a copy of your marriage certificate with the AOS application.

You *could* apply for an EAD before getting married but most VJ'ers would strongly advise not doing so. Thats because even if you were lucky enough to be issued an EAD before you filed for AOS (depends on processing times) it would only be valid for the remaining time on your I-94 landing card. Consequently those people who went ahead and applied for an EAD before filing for AOS often received an EAD that was only valid for a few days.

By all means go ahead and get the paperwork for AOS and EAD filled out and ready to go but do not send it until you are married.

If you haven't filed AOS yet, you're better off filing everything on paper in the same packet than filing electronically.
