We are waiting for packet 4 now.. but have a question if I submit the papers to the VFS office in new Delhi is it faster in the interview or is it the same amount of time? Has the VFS lost anyones evidence? What does the VFS actually do with your papers? Do they just organize them for interview or do they look them over?
Can anyone help me please this information will be most helpful.

Sincerly a fiancee in waiting,
Christina

You are required to submit documents to VFS... they will not accept it at the Embassy.

Melo -- actually it is "highly recommended" to submit the papers at the VFS office (as per New Delhi website). Check out http://newdelhi.usembassy.gov/packet4k3info.html

I quote "If you wish, you may submit your documents at the Embassy on the day of interview but YOU MUST pay the courier charges at a VFS office before the date of interview. You are strongly urged to submit your documents to a VFS office at the same time you pay the courier fee."

Can't recommend what to do, but here are the facts.

Chris,

What KP said is correct. You must pay the courier fee at the VFS. But other documents can be presented at the Interview.

Well. I had gone to the Embassy with some papers they asked for - they refused to accept them. Said they must be handed over to the VFS. This is my experience... but if what they say on the Embassy site is what you have said, then really I guess it is up to you. I can only tell you what my experience was.

Melo -- When was that????
