I replied in your other thread.

Also, aside from the NCSC number 1-800-375-5283 there is no other phone number to enquire about the I-129F status.

Hello Bombay,

I dare say to sit tight...it's a little too soon to be stressing yourself out with trying to reach someone at the USCIS. Still, the waiting is hard ClockWatch2.gif , we all know. Just keep busy, say your prayers, and know that your time will come. And let us know when it does so we can kicking.gif with ya!

Cheers,
Cheryl

My wife and I are living outside the U.S. during this process also. If you have internet acces at home I would suggest sighning up with a internet phone service. I use Skype (go to skype.com). I can call the U.S. for 2 cents a minute and venezuela for 5cents a minute. Also, 1-800 numbers are free.. To sighn up for the service is free. Also, I pay about $4 dollars a months for a U.S. phone number (mine is an area code from Houston Texas where I live) that rings on my laptop here in Costa Rica. It is free for people to call me. I have called USCIS many times for free. They can keep me on hold as long as they want to since it's free and my laptop has speakers.

One more thing...When I am in Houston, I can call my wife for free. Dialing my houston number rings on my wifes laptop in costa rica. This has saved me Thousands$$$$

Bombay, you along with several others in the over 100 days since NOA1 are in my prayers each night. I've discovered that calling USCIS about the application rarely gets you the answers you seek.

So far as I can tell, there is absolutely no logical pattern for NOA2's on I-129F applications. Some get approved in less than a month, others get approved in 6 months (or more).

It would be wonderful to get clarification, but it's a fruitless search.

Hang in there....you're not alone.

Chris & Mariana, that is an absolutely great idea about using Skype! I've used Skype in the past and it hadn't even occurred to me to use it to call USCIS from abroad. I'm also living in Venezuela while we await my husband's visa and I was having my dad call USCIS for me, but the whole process is so confusing and frustrating that he doesn't always know what questions to ask. I love this forum more and more everyday! Thanks again!!
