Full Version: What does late on registration mean on the birth certificate?

sorry folks to ask this question about the late registration of birth certificate, i just don't understand it. supposed my birthdate is August 17 and it was registered on August 23rd of the same year, does it mean that it was registered late? wink.gif

Excerpt from the NSO website:

QUOTE
The birth of a child shall be registered within thirty (30) days from the time of birth in the Office of the Civil Registrar of the city/municipality where the birth occurred. A report made beyond this period is considered late.


Clearly, the answer is "no" since it is not more than 30 days. wink.gif
