Two weeks exactly...that's how long it took from the time CSC approved our fiance visa petition on August 10, 2006 to its receipt by the NVC. I just called the NVC this evening, August 24, and they gave me the case number...HOOORAY! And they said they would be sending it on to Manila in 2-4 weeks. Progress is being made...thank God!

Good news! But, I had hoped it would be faster. Oh well.
Good Luck!

Congrats to you - and to us too! Called the NVC today at 1:10 PDT - only had to wait for about 5 minutes total - spoke with a very friendly and professional staffer- she said that my application was received by NVC on the 24th - that's exactly 2 weeks from the NOA-2 receipt.
She also told me the case number for the embassy has been assigned, and that the case should be forwarded to the embassy 2-4 weeks from the 24th.
One little quirk: I moved since NOA-1 -about 2 months ago - and at the time notified the California Service Center - got a confirmation, the IMBRA RFE, and NOA-2 -all sent to the new address.
However, the lady at the NVC was telling me that in THEIR system my old address was showing up. She corrected it, and no big deal I suppose, just FYI. Those of you who moved since NOA-1 may want to double check that the NVC has your correct new address...
