Full Version: Final touch after K-1 approval message?

Most timelines I see indicate a touch, just after the approval information. I received no such touch from USCIS, did you?

By the way, I was touched on 17 August (RFE 2 received), 18 August (processing), 19 August (approval)

No further touches. Now I am curious if our case is on the way to NVC or still in he!! out west.

Thanks Guys!
Mew
My case hasn't been touched after the approval, but the petition was sent to NVC and to the consulate with no problems.

We have not been touched since being approved on the 18th...I would have thought they would give you a final touch as they send the application off to the NVC, but there seems to be little rhyme or reason to things smile.gif

I'm getting a little anxious too about the transit to NVC...should be straight forward, but I forsee so many problems..lol This is what the CSC has done to me-I'm losing all faith in the system and becoming paranoid!

I would just call the NVC (about a week to 10 days after approval). Unlike the USCIS, the NVC is pretty helpful and will let you know if they've received it. Just make sure you talk to a live person - I believe the automated system is only for K-3 visas.

We were touched eight days after the approval.

I strongly believe the service centers mail out stuff to NVC in batches. So I guess one shouldn't expect their petition to be sent straigh out right after the approval.

Also, William, if you can, stay away from the DHL tracking thing (once you get the date when NVC forwards the petition to the consulate). laughing.gif Only makes us feel even more anxious and nervous.

Dude, I hear you. I too tried to check the DHL site every.single.day after I've gotten a date from NVC. No good at all! It drove me insane and I was going crazy, thinking something bad happened to my case...
