Since I'm on the layoff list I've no "real" work to do (other than job hunting). Looks like that's going to change soon though, I'm pretty sure I'll be picked up by another department.

I have found that......... although going to work did get rid of my 'VJ a$$'

VJ is blocked at my work. Even if it wasn't I don't have time at work...kinda hard to teach and post on VJ during the day.

So true! My posting on VJ really picked up steam once I switched from teaching to an office job!

I am on every day. I still get the work accomplished, but it certainly reduces productivity.

I don't consider it wasting time. I'm there for a purpose. Wasting time is playing solitaire

Im at work on VJ too! Working as a receptionist there are more than enough hours in a day to surf the web and go on VJ!

Yes, and don't care if my boss knows. There are people on a lot worse sites than this at my work. There's one guy who surfs MySpace from work and reads fiction novels and another guy who snores when falling asleep, every day. I don't think anyone is going to get pissy over me getting relivant information to my life while at work when other people are doing that x.x

It's my moral obligation to post here.

If I didn't keep posting while at work I'd be shirking my responsiblities and condemned to fire and brimstone.

Seriously, I do need to get back to work ( in just ten more minutes).

I spend almost the whole day on VJ while I am at work. My boss spends his day playing on MSN Zone and surfs other various sites, as well as everyone else I work with.

my job can be sooooooooooo incredibly boring, I don't know what I would do without VJ.

Crazy thing is-I left my old job because it was boring-the grass isn't always greener If I could only figure out what it is I really want to do when I grow up, maybe I wouldn't be so bored

I hate to bring up the obvious, but could it be that before we complain about CSC people being slackers, we should look at ourselves?

Yep. But I am starting to reduce it significantly (at least at my first job). Since getting the ticket to visit her, I have not been as obsessive waiting for the approval.
