I've been waiting for weeks to finally send in the last of the paperwork, and today was the day. I waited for the NVC automated message to tell me that they were ready for the Biographic Data, and when I got the message this morning I sent it off.
This past weekend I kept reading the shortcuts over and over, and there isn't much more to the DS230 instruction than check to see which embassy you will deal with, and how to make the barcode.
So I have 4 sheets; the barcode sheet, 2 for the DS230, and the biographic data copy of the passport.
Before I seal the envelope up I am torn over wherther or not to write the case number on the sheets. The shortcuts say nothing of it for the DS230. I figured if we were supposed to, then it would say it. It did for the I-864.
I'd say an hour after I mailed the package this morning I remembered someone had posted copies of all the instructions, and sure enough there it was. "Failure to write your case number on all documents will cause a delay in processing."
So anyone got an idea of how much of a delay?
Should I send another set of papers with the numbers on them?
Can someone update that section of the shortcuts so it states this like the I-864 section does?
