Thanks everyone. Hachemi just left his family and home to make the 4 hour trip to Algiers. I hope his mom is ok. They are very close. I was talking to Hachemi on the phone Sunday and his mom yelled out, "I am sending Hachemi to you!!!" I thought that was so sweet. He will spend the night in Algiers and fly to Casa tomorrow. Spend the night in Casa and leave Thursday for the USA. He gets to JFK late and there is no flights out, so he will have to stay in New York overnight. I will pick him up at the airport on Friday in Mississippi. WHOOOOHOOOOO

So sweet about his mother. My MIL only knows "How are you" in English. It is the cutest thing to hear her say it. His mother will be fine when she knows he is happy. It is all any loving mother wants.

haha... my mom in algeria barely knows anything in english.. she speaks kaybile and french.. and some arabic (although she hates speaking or writing or reading it) and one day out of nowhere she was like "SIT DOWN!" and I was like "whoa"

My future MIL will ask Hachemi to let her speak to me. He will say " Mom you dont understand anything she says." And she will say. I want to hear her voice!!!. Of course she gets her way. She will say. Hallo, how are you? I am fine. I miss you, I love you, I kiss you, I kiss you!!! I love and miss her so much. She said " I will get visa to USA, I will cook traditional algerian for all your friends." She is so sweet.

Thanks everyone for you support. Hachemi just called. He is checking his bags at the airport in Casa. He sounds so anxious. He will be leaving for JFK in 2 hours. He did become friends with another Algerian man that is flying to the USA. Makes me feel better that he is not alone. I have so much to do today. I need to leave this computer right now! I will keep you informed.
