I've been extremely touchy lately. I'm sitting here hoping my K1 gets approved so Patrick can be here by June when my lease ends and I need to move. I'd like him to be here to help and have a say in where the next place we live will be. I just keep seeing people being approved much quicker at the other processing centers and it frustrates me. I don't know why the USCIS doesn't see the massive difference between California and Vermont and why they're not doing more to change it. I know others have probably complained about this and I haven't been waiting as long as most, but this is the most stressful thing I've done. Or maybe it feels that way because I also have a stressful job. I just live in stress constantly and this from CSC is making me feel like I'm going to blow my top. Sorry for the rant.

hang in there, miranda! i so know how you're feeling. it is beyond frustrating to see everyone getting approved in what seems a couple of weeks while us CSC folks wait, wait and wait some more. don't get me wrong. each time i see an approval i'm happy for the couple. but, the every day waiting becomes a physically and mentally taxing experience. ugh! i have my good days when everything hangs on plain ol' hope. hope that it will all work out quickly and without a hitch. i stay positive and don't obsessively log on to the USCIS case status site to check our case. once a day is enough, right? ;-) but then there are the bad days. like earlier this week when i noticed our VJ approximate adjudication date go from april 1 to may 4! i had the meltdown from hell. i seriously considered quitting my job, packing my bags and getting on the next flight to BCN-- all in one day. thank god my guy has the patience of a saint. he talked some sense into me and reminded me that before we know it we'll be together again and for good. it's tough enough to be without the person you love let alone to make decisions. but stay postive. it will all work out. hey, i found a great grouch killer: boxing! good luck.

Nope...for K-1 California has that unfortunate title. Those filing I-130 though from NSC are on par with CSC as those petitions are forwarded onto CSC. The gap though does seem to be closing with the centers re I-129F as now there is only 2 months seperating them and now 3 months as opposed to the 5 mths previously with the I-130. Would love to see the day when processing times are all on par regardless of which service center.
To the OP *hugs* hang in there girl.

Hang in there Miranda!!! I know your time will soon be here...believe me I felt the same way waiting the 3 months for my approval...this whole process is a BIG waiting game...I am now waiting for the petition to reach the embassy (unknown how long that will take) Getting the NOA2 is a big relief but the waiting doesnt stop there.....Just keep your head up and your relationship with your fiance strong.....God bless

Totally understand where you are coming from Miranda. Friday was 'it' for me, 108 days and no touches or anything, I had had enough of the slow, stressful wait and living in limbo, needing to do things but in a bind as to what to do, 'just in case'. I was ready to quit out on everything. Mike talked me around, asked me to wait til the 120 day limit that they say on the Status Online Page and then well if it wasn't approved by then we would decide what to do then.
There has been a few times like that. I hate the job I have, because it was only going to be a temporary thing, I took it because it allowed me to have my Mondays off, henceforth known as my "Mikey Mondays", that is his Sunday night - we get to spend some fantastic time together, totally alone for hours. But spending time together on the webcams is nothing compared to being together in person.
Luckily he did talk sense into me that day, again... Cause when I got home from work that afternoon, I checked the Status Online and there it was, in black and white, "Case Approved". I howled for a good 15 or so minutes, I was so close to throwing the towel in, hating living this half life with no full direction, knowing what I wanted but not knowing when and if it was going to happen. But Mike, once again, brought me back to my senses with his wonderful way of dealing with my 'moods'. Sounds like you have the same kind of man, backing you up there Miranda, we are both very lucky girls. I woke the poor man up at 12.15am his time and all he heard was me sobbing and going "we got approved". He had to come online to see for himself.
So hang in there Miranda, you know you have a wait and of course I can be all happy with the world now that we got approved. Believe me when it happens you will know exactly what I mean. And it looks like CSC is starting to get their act together in the last few weeks so you may not have as long a wait as a few of us did and still have. If you need to talk, 'just to get it out' give me a holla.

Thanks for all the support. I feel better since I've slept and Patrick is calling me in a couple of hours. I know you all know exactly what I'm going through. It's a relief to have VJ, no one else around me understands what I'm going through. There is another teacher at my work who has gone through this, but he is very unapproachable, and we only see each other when the students are gone, which limits any time I'm able to discuss it with him. I don't know what I'd do without this community.

I feel with you Miranda! Im on day 102 and me and my fiance are feeling the stress more and more. Our wishful thinking on getting the approval fast isnt about moving though, our sons 1st year birthday is in May so we are very stressed about him being here ontime for that.
Everything will go fine for you thought, you will see.

This is a horrible feeling-waiting for someone to decide on your future. I was planning on hime being here for early Spring(I am going through VSC & expaected a quick approval), well I was SO wrong. Today is 72 days..............I am freaking out

It is hard. Very Hard and the hardest part is not knowing when or WHAT is going to happen next. But I must remain hopeful regardless. My fiance believes in me when other's in her country don't. I think it is hard for me but she really has it harder. She does not speak /read english very well so this site is no use to her - yet. It also took us about 4 months before we filed to get all the paperwork ready and correct. I like what she told me last night (in Portugues): " . . . the only thing that has passed between us is time, our love just continues to grow . . ".
All the days are hard , just some harder than others. Just make it through them and we / you will win eventually.

Now that is something I'd never even thought of. That foreigners couldn't read this website. What a long hard wait that would be without being able to read English. I know how you feel about waiting before filing. I proposed in May 2005, we saw each other again in August and filed the paperwork in October. For awhile I'd wished that I had sent the stuff off earlier. Of course when I got my NOA2 in January there were still lots of people who had filed during the summer but were still waiting for their NOA2.
I got approved in 100 days from TSC/CSC. No touches, no updates, people in front of me hasn't gotten it days earlier. Just seemed like out of the blue it came. I was surfing the net and my Gmail notifier turned blue with a notice from USCIS. When I opened the case status online, there it was.
To everybody out there, you've read about the waits others have had. But I've been there. You really don't care that it takes everybody else as long. It's such a personal thing having to wait to be allowed to be with your partner. There were days I was grumpy, frustrated, sad, depressed. But when that NOA2 comes, let me tell ya it's the biggest boost you can get. It's like your fiancee just walked in the door. I was floating on air for days afterwards.
The day will come.

I just started and I am frustrated. I really gets you down when you see people waiting months at one center and a week at another. How is it fair? Just for living in another area of the country you get faster service. It really seems they need to look at a way of dividing the load to make it more of a standard processing time for all.

Ok Ok, Miranda you are one day ahead of me. I cant describe the frustration I feel about the wait. I have emailed the csc and sent the list of names that are on the csc list. I did not get a canned response. But I was told they were behind due to holidays and They are getting swamped with other types of petitions. I am just as frustated as anyone here. I need to move on to the next step in the game. And to everyone saying to forget it, it comes when it comes work on your packet 3 info well mine is done she has police report and medical in a few weeks, all of the packet 3 forms are filled out ,,,,,,,, We just need the noa2 to move on..

How do you get packet 3 ready before they send it out? How can you do your medical before NOA2? I guess I just assumed you had to wait for all of that stuff to be sent and scheduled for you. That would be something to occupy my mind. Plus, as much as I love him, Patrick is a procrastonator so it would definitely be a help to get him started on his forms early.

Hi everyone,
we have been waiting for our NOA2 for almost 4 months and still havent got it, it is really frustrating to see that all other people with similar NOA1 already got theirs a month ago
We are going to wait one more week and email them again when we reach 120 days of waiting, which is the time frame they gave us in our noa1 notice, dont want to wait another month or two for the approval.
It is not fair as we all paid the same fee and made the same effort. I think that our case was well organized, all documents in order as they reqiured. Me and my fiance are both single, we met in California and have been dating when I lived there, then I left before my visa expired (so i didnt overstay) and we have been together for 1,5 year....., he came to visit me 3x, so I dont think there should be a problem with our case...I dont know.
Just trying to be patient as much as we can and fortunatelly this waiting made us relationship even stronger, but we miss each other more and more every day and this waiting is getting harder and harder....
Anyway, good luck to everybody with your K-1 journeys!

That is a lifetime for Vermont. It is hard not to get frustrated when you see that people are approved in 6 days. You are so right, we all pay the same fees, no one couple deserves to be together over another-but unfortunately this process is just unfair.

The medical in Thailand is on a walk in basis no appointment needed. Check with your embassy and see about the list of approved doctors and call them to find out if you need a appointment or not.

I literally live two blocks from Virginia (it takes me 3 minutes to walk across the state line). That means my processing center would be Vermont, which is the fastest center. But alas, I live in Tennessee, which means TSC, which means CSC -- which means the slowest.
How's that for irony? ;-)

I have no idea if that would qualify for residency or not. I would think that it wouldn't. I wouldn't do that personally because if they figured out what you were doing it could be unfortunate for your case. I'm not saying that they would do anything, but it might cause a slowdown.

Don't worry Irish. It will be ok (I know you're hearing that a lot). Your NOA2 will come. Focus on planning a wedding, as much as possible. Pick everything out and do everything you can without a date. That's helping me wait. I'm a teacher and I have this whole week off and I was going stir crazy so I met with a photographer, a florist, my hairdresser, I picked out the maid of honor dress with my best friend. I have done everything that I can possibly do without a date and i suggest that to anyone going through this process, because it is definitely something that hangs over you all day if you don't.
