I'm wondering if anyone has experience of this. My ex husband and I divorced in the UK waiting until my youngest daughter was 16 to bypass all the custody issues, which worked out great but I have no legal papers which state that I have custody, because of course being 16 she is no longer subject to parental custody issues. However I am concerned that when we get to the interview that they will require something legal that determines custody. My ex husband has written a letter stating that I am the custodal parent and that he is aware and gives consent for our daughter to immigrate to the US. Do you think this will suffice? Has anyone else been in this situation? Any thoughts or advice welcomed.

Thanks
Linda

Because she is 16 and your ex husband gives his consent that will be fine for you...you will have no problems at all...what i would do is get the consent letter from him notarized.....and take it with you to the embassy for your interview
