Does it vary a lot in how much time it takes our approved cases to be sent to NVC? I have seen quite a few that have been sent lately, but I just called about ours and they said it had still not been received.

Ok, I know that after waiting for so long at CSC I should have learned to be patient, but I am ready to go dang it!!!

Our NOA2 was dated Aug 3.
jen&darcy
Mine took about a 1 1/2 weeks to get there.

Good luck to you, too. I am sure there are others waiting like us, but I see so many people blowing past us that I am getting frustrated. Oh well... I am going to go cook some dumplings and try to relax...

Erik
You guys are not alone, my approval came Aug 3rd as well, and when I called this Friday, NVC said they still had not received it.

William33
Say it ain't so. You guys are waiting over two weeks for NVC to get the case? Damn, more waiting.... blink.gif

Looks like some of us are William... and strangly enough, people that were approved on Aug 3rd. I checked the DHL site, and saw 3 petitions had been sent to Rio in the past week, don't know whats going on.

If memory serves me correct, I believe some people called the NVC in the past and were told they had not received they're case, then they called the Consulate, and the Consulate said they had received it. Or I think some people ended up getting Packet 3 before NVC said they ever received it... so again... who knows laughing.gif

Haven't been around in a few weeks, but notice you were approved, a HUGE Congrats to you and your bride to be my friend. good.gif
William33
Hey, appreciate the Congrats. Good to be here on NVC, of course, I still hang out in K-1 too.

Anyway, it appears that "this process" has a few wrinkles too. No surprise, the USG at work here!! laughing.gif

Does anyone have the NVC number handy?

Yup, here ya go (603) 334-0700. You'll want to push 1 for English, then 5 to be transferred to a live person. You can push them right away, no need to sit and listen to the messages. good.gif

jpine
do you just give them your WAC# and they check if they have it.

thanks

You give them your USCIS Receipt number, mine starts with LIN (I thought they all did, but not sure)
William33
Some case numbers (A#) start with LIN, WAC and so forth.

Use the number from your NOA-1 I-797 Document.

Usually it takes about 1-2 weeks for NVC to receive the approved case from CSC.
JaNa27
Also I heard from a case where the embassy in Frankfurt issued an paket 3 and later when the person called to find out the interview date - they told her they are waiting to receive all the documents from nvc before they can schedule interview date. Dont they have to receive all the documents before they can even issue the paket 3?

Will!!! I have not been hanging around here as much lately. A huge congrats on the approval! Now if we can get through NVC...

Guangzhou might be a little faster lately, so I am trying to stay hopeful.

Good luck to you! You deserve to fly through NVC for sure!

Wow, that would really suck if we had to wait even longer because of something like that, especially considering the mess that we have just goen through because of the IMBRA implementation...
daveandlirio
Yup...me too, August 3rd NOA2 and still no receipt at NVC (checked this morning). I've read that it sometimes takes nearly a month for them to receive it and the NVC folks said it can take up to 90 days. I hope this is just a normal delay...don't want to speculate on alternatives!

Stay strong everyone...we'll get there.

You might want to call again. I just called at 6:15 Central time and she said they just entered the case a little while ago. Wow, that was so different from USCIS. She was so nice and helpful! It didn't hurt that she was Chinese biggrin.gif

Woohoo! Now let's hope they get that thing outta there fast...

Yep, appears they just received the Aug 3rd batch, mine was entered today as well.

Quick question, I had a hard time understanding her (I think it was the same Chinese lady). Does your case number start with the letters RDJ? I couldn't understand when she was giving the 2nd letter.

Oh forget that, I just realized RDJ must stand for Rio de Janeiro... duh lol!
William33
Cool, progress!!! Off you go guys!!! good.gif

Next batch!!!!

I'm so depressed...I must have really been bad in another life, 'cuz I'm paying for it now!

NVC has still not received my package, even though the others of you with Aug 3rd NOA2 have been received! I was so excited to finally get NOA2 on my March NOA1, and my hopes were high with how fast NVC seemed to be receiving and shipping packages, but once again, I will fall back into the doom of desperate, helpless waiting.

I can't b!tch too much, though, 'cuz I saw a thread on someone who waited over 400 days for NOA2! Still, that doesn't make me feel much better.

Congrats to those of you who have had your packages received and forwarded by NVC and best of luck with the rest of the process.

Congrats!!!!

Sorry for the wait!!! You have been waiting a month longer than I have since you applied. That really sucks. Maybe they will enter more cases in today.

In about 2 weeks it will have been 1 year since I saw my fiance... crying.gif
JaNa27
We called NVC today - it was shipped out to the embassy on Monday.
Good luck for the rest!

This is really depressing. It's almost a month now and no word of where the hell my application is. I've called NVC many times and they have no record of it. Yesterday, I called CIS and a lady said that all I-129F are sent directly to the embassy (in my case Guangzhou). I called Guangzhou visa information center and they couldn't look up since I do not have a case number. So frustrating.. What can I do?

Sorry to hear that. Did you receive a letter after your NOA2 saying it was sent to NVC? They are not sent directly to the embassy.

Call NVC every day & ask.
