Full Version: Does the embassy in Manila calls the beneficiary to inform that they had already received the package from NVC?

hi all,

i just would like to know if the beneficiary will be given a notice that the approved petition has arrived from the NVC or the beneficiary will be notified through snail mail by the US Embassy in Manila?

No. Unless you inquire, the next thing you will receive is interview/medical packet.

Hi Tamara,
My fiance did receive an email from NVC stating that they forwarded our case to Embassy Manila. Also, I did email (NVCInquiry@state.gov) the NVC and ask them the status of our case too and I got a response the next day.

With regards to US Embassy Manila, they will not email or contact you in any way just for the sake of informing you that your case has arrived. They will just send you mail once you have an appt. date, this mail is the packet 4(consists of intructions on what to do and DS156, DS157, DS156K and appointment letter). The packet 4 usually arrives one month before the interview date.

Thanks for the info.... I was wondering earlier if they will reply to my email (NVC) I read your post and good thing they replied to you.It's kinda hard to get thru the phone and talk to an operator. Thanks again!!!

Hey guys I received an email today regarding the status of our case and they gave us our case number (NVC) and also telling us that they have already forwarded our petition to the US embassy here in MAnila.. My question is can you guys give me the website address where i can see the interview dates?? thanks!!

Here's the link; but mind you, it's not that reliable yes.gif . Better way to monitor your case is by calling the US Embassy call center or Dept. of State.
