This has probably been asked a million times, but who or what is in charge of determining my estimated date or "adjudication" on my timeline?

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated as early as December 3, 2006*.
Craig2006
It is calculated from all the dates people put in their timelines. That is the reason it is so important for people to keep their timelines updated.
William33
On the other hand, the timelines are extremely skewed right now.

With the IMBRA thing in mind, it will be a quite some time before we see any accuracy to those projections.

I agree that you should keep the timeline updated, as this backlog may clear soon.

and correct, by making sure they put the NOA1 receipt/received date from their NOA1 and not the NOA1 date which is the date they generated the NOA1. This can also skew the statistic.

i'm sorry, maybe it's because this was my second day of my first year teaching middle school, i just worked about 11 hours straight, i'm on 5 hours of sleep and i miss my baby, but i had no idea what you just said. but chances are, whatever it is people are entering in wrong on their timelines, i probably did... can you reexplain what you just said so that a mushhead can understand?

sorry I missed out the word 'notice'

NOA1 will have both a 'received/receipt date' and a 'notice date'

NOA1 received/receipt date, is the date that the petition is stamped as received at the service center.

NOA1 notice date, is the date that your petition is entered into the system and a notice issued.

USCIS goes by the received/receipt date and so do the statistics in the timelines here on VJ.

William33
On the form I-797 that they send you, there will be two dates:

Received date: NOA-1

Notice date: the day they sent you the I-797 form

Use the Received date - that is the true NOA-1 date.

Have a few cold ones, it may help! biggrin.gif

Captain Ewok
The timelines are actually correct despite the IMBRA issues. As you can see in the following:

IPB Image

People are now getting approved again (the upward slope has stopped). There is just a much higher processing time overall due to many applications in the queue.
