I have Windows XP and see a message at the bottom of my screen....when I click on any topics it is asking me to click on the icon for the add-on.

Can you cite a repeatable example. That way if I can repeat what you are seeing I can fix it. Thanks!

Well, I've tried it with Firefox, IE 64-bit, and Opera. I've tried it with Win XP x64 and with Linux. Nada.

Is there a particular page where this happens? Obviously someone somewhere has an Apple Quicktime movie posted, or something....

I agree. Probably the case. There is nothing we have that should trigger what is being reported...

"Ah ha... I've found why it wants to install the QuickTimeCheck Scriptable Object, it's all my webstats programs fault as it gives me stats on how many people who visit have QuickTime playing capabilities."

Oh good grief.... Leave it to Microsoft.....

I have this dream that one day...maybe....IE will finally reach the W3C web standards for the current year, rather than 4 years in the past. Not gonna hold my breath, though.

Get Firefox!
