Full Version: Email states generated, IVR says NO

I sent an email to NVC on friday, asking whether case number has been assigned. I got email reply yestarday and the email states, "DS3032 and AOS fee bill are been sent out".

But when I called them last night, operator told me they've not generated these forms. Today (Tuesday) morning, too, there is no message about generation of these forms on voice response system either.

Whats the average time for these to be generated?

next question:

I have three cases at NVC: for my parents and wife. My parents' cases are issued RFE for confirmation of thier dates of birth. The operator told me they have grouped them together. Does it mean wife's case will also have to wait for completion of parents' cases or they can start moving wife's process, and start generating forms for her?

one more thing..........
they sent me the email that I have mentioned above but the operator said that in thier records, email was sent to my wife, is it something to be taken seriously?

I would call the NVC help line and select the option to speak to a real person. I doubt that they can help you with your secpnd question, but they do seem to be able to tell the status of your case which would answer the first question.

I've found in the last two days that the IVR isn't as up to date as the customer service people are. Some people, myself included, suggest calling twice to make sure the customer service people say the same thing.
