I have been talking to a man from Egypt via the web using our webcam and microphone/headsets for some time now. He has asked that i go to see him and if we click to get married there and then I will move back here to the US and he will follow once we get the visa.

Well.................I'm not as daring as I may seem so I would much rather he come to the US first and visit. Then if we click he can apply for the fiance visa and we can get married at that time.

do you think this process, assuming we love each other as much in person as we do online, would take years to do? unsure.gif

never mind. i just figured out from another post that the time would be like infinity since the visitor's visa is impossible to get. blush.gif

If u hit it off you can return home and begin the paper work to get him here same as I did the I12F and I130 it does take some time. or if you want u can go the k1 route not the k3 which i did

An Egyptian visitors visa would be next to impossible unless he had a really really good job and lots of money in the bank, and lots of other proof that he would return.

yes, it is a long journey.
you can go and visit...and see if it clicks,
but remember about different culture / religion and see it in real terms of a life long journey.

It is harder to get visas from certain parts of the world as you know.

K-1 route is best for you (if it clicks between you two)....as in that case, you are not married...and would be required to marry within 90 days after he comes here. Marrying there in Eygpt does not guarantee anything (by way of K-3 route).

Wish you best.
