Hello, my wife is just about to go in for her interview in guayaquil, ecuador. I have already received the transcripts from the IRS when I called the 800 number and went through the automated system, and I didn't speak to a real person. I just want to be overly prepared for the interview, and would like to know if anybody could tell me if these will be acceptable, and if they're the same transcripts that you request on the IRS form 4506-T? Thanks a lot. Pray for us everybody!

As asked in the other thread......were you requested to submit the I-864 for a K-3?

Yes, they require it for my wife's visa according to the embassy in Guayaquil. Thanks for your help!

Hmmmmmm amazing they get away with it considering that consulates are directed that they CANNOT use the I-864 for K visas and it is so written in the FAM. This is the first time I have heard of a consulate specifically requesting the I-864 for a K visa. The only other time is India where they have given the option of using either.

Sorry, looking over it I guess it's actually a CR-1 visa. We did direct consular filing, so they just told us what forms to use, I never really got the low-down on the names of each visa. Now i'm more educated. Thanks guys!

Thank you for the confirmation (?) Lorelle -- I had emailed the Consulate in New Delhi India whether they would accept the 834 for my wife's K3 and they had said yes. I was still a bit dubious, but I guess you must have read this somewhere about India too, right?

There have been members from India who were given this option, though erroneous as per the FAM. Member kaydee comes to mind straight up.

yep, sorry kaydee is Ethiopia, my mistake...thanks Mo. I still recall seeing posts from members that have said they have been given I-134 & I-864 from Mumbai, India for K visa. There is also mention of it in the Embassy Info Tab. Aside from that I do know this is not correct process.
